Each year the Sequim lavender growers sponsor a lavender festival. There are some 30,000 viitors to this event. Lavendar is planted along the streets and in many home gardens. The air is pungent with the scent of lavender especially on a warm, sunny day. There is a street fair in the center of town. artists' studio tours, and other events. A good time is had by all. There are many lavender farms in the area and this is a painting of one. The lavender beside the golden fields is a colorful contrast.
